Dacia is a Romanian firm that first started selling the Duster in Europe back in 2010. The Duster didn't arrive in the UK until 2012, so it is a relatively recent addition to our shores. What You Get
The base model Dacia Duster comes with standard 2WD, though there is a 4WD option as well. A 1.6-litre petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel power plant is available, the latter of which is the more desirable option because it has bundles of torque. The car also has a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard on the petrol 2-wheel-drive version, while a 6-speed gearbox is standard on the other versions. The dash and trim have been put together incredibly well, so the vehicle provides plenty of practicality. In the rear, you get a healthy 475-litre boot. If you pick the 4WD version, this is cut to 400-litres due to the full-sized spare wheel. The rear seats can be folded down to increase the luggage capacity to 1,636 litres, while split rear seats are an optional extra on higher-end models. Comfort levels are good and there is plenty of legroom and headroom for passengers.
How it Drives
Drivers of the 4WD variant are able to choose the drive setting. 2WD mode is available for normal conditions, or you can place it in auto when things get a bit slippery. A full lock mode is also available when you want to tackle some rough terrain. A used Dacia Duster handles safely and drives with a soft suspension.
