2015 Chevy Colorado Top Speed

Does anyone know what the Colorado is governed at? I had mine doin almost 95 the other day and it didnt feel close to quittin, but i did before i got a nice ticket. :lol:

I think it was mentioned that its around 98

96 or 98, one of the two. Hit it 5 times :shock: about a month and a half ago during one of my drives to VA

I hate them being governed. 98 mph - blaahh. Chevy also limits my Camaro to 160 mph - though I believe this is below true top speed.

i agree with the 98 blahh, but i dont think i'd ever go 160, at least not where im from... hell going that fast you could get from one side of the state to the other before you could come to a complete stop :lol:

Yeah! I've never hit the governor in the Camaro, but have a couple times in the Colorado. I've been up to between 120 and 130 - that was pretty scetchy, but wow the adrenaline rush!

The fastest I have ever been was 140 in my thunderbird super coupe and I thought I was about to take off to the sky. Heck I think the body of my colorado would blow off at that speed. lol

my tires are rated for 130 so my truck should go 123 but every time I try to tell my truck that it doesnt believe me and keeps that 98 crap up :wink:

I think its governed for 98 because of drive shaft balancing.
Atleast I know thats why the Ranger is governed at 92.

my friends has an 02 z28 with a custom PCM, headers, intake, exhaust..... we've done at least 170-175 in it on rt. 11 in ct.
Breakers been on that road... that reallly long straight road on the way to the cfans bbq we had last year.... or at least the road you followed me back to i-95 on

i heard that colorados were governed at eleventy billion miles an hour but due to drag they can only do 98...
